COMING SOON! A new pastor for Packanack Community Church
On Sunday, July 26 our congregation voted unanimously to call Rev. Julia Bertalan to be the new Senior Minister at Packanack Community Church. With about 30 people in attendance and many more voting by proxy, Church Secretary Kathy Schneider announced the unanimous vote. Though Pastor Juli was not able to be with us due to COVID restrictions, we did text her with the good news. Her response was: “I am filled with so much joy and excitement for what is to come!” Yes, Juli, so are we!

The Packanack Community Church is proud to be an Open and Affirming Congregation!
We believe the world with all of its diversity was created as a reflection of God’s image. Therefore, we celebrate all ages, races, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, economic circumstances, physical, cognitive, or emotional abilities, family configurations, education, or spiritual and religious traditions.
At Packanack, we are passionate about family, friendships, and finding our calling in God’s unconditional love. Rather than use the Bible as a tool for discrimination and exclusion, we choose to interpret its overall message of love as being inclusive of all people. As a community of faith that reflects God’s love, we welcome everyone. We invite you to worship with us and experience the full life, mission, and ministry of our church as we endeavor to embrace inclusion and justice in our world. Jesus did not turn anyone away and neither do we.
In our congregation, you will find acceptance as we explore our faith together. Come and join us in discovering God’s radical love as we practice extravagant welcome. Click here to learn more.

Fr. English Center needs donations for Food Pantry
The curve is flattening for much of NJ, but for many residents of Paterson, NJ less virus cases is their least concern. The need for food has not lessened. Many still do not have their jobs back and to make matters worse, many still have not received their unemployment checks. The Fr. English Center is continuing to feed thousands of families weekly. If you are able, please donate to them at the link below to help feed families. In the Comments box, PLEASE DESIGNATE FOR YOUR DONATION TO GO TO THE FOOD PANTRY. The money will then be directed specifically for feeding those that are food insecure. Thank you for your generosity. https://ccpaterson.org/frenglish
